Overload Reactor runs entirely in your browser. There is no account, no advertising, no cookies and no third-party tracking.

What the game stores
- Your progress and settings: scores, career XP, missions, awards, themes and settings are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They are never sent to us.
- An offline copy of the game: your browser keeps the game's files so it loads fast and works offline.
Clearing your browser's data for overloadreactor.com deletes both. Progress does not move between devices or browsers.
What we don't collect
The game does not collect your real name, email address, location, contacts or any other personal information. Gameplay analytics are switched off. If that ever changes, we will update this page and tell you in the game before any data is collected.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not use it to identify or profile players.
Daily leaderboards and leagues
Leaderboards are switched off in this release, and nothing is sent while they are off. When they are switched on, playing a Daily sends your first run of that day to our leaderboard server so it can be ranked:
- the operator name you choose in Settings (it doesn't need to be your real name; the default is “Operator” and four characters),
- a random leaderboard ID your browser makes up, which is separate from anything else the game stores,
- your score and the moves you made (where and when you tapped), which the server replays to check the score is real.
If you create or join a friend league, the server also records which leaderboard IDs are in it. Other players see names and scores only, never IDs. Scores are deleted after 30 days, and league memberships once you have had no ranked Daily for 30 days. To remove a score sooner, email us your operator name and the day.
Challenge links
When you share a challenge, the link contains the board, the score to beat and your operator name. It contains nothing else about you, and it is only shared where you choose to share it.
Children
Because the game collects no personal information, it is suitable for players of any age. The game does use flashing lights; see the safety note on the start screen.
